For this special jar, a true homage to our grandmothers' recipes, we selected the largest and ripest Sicilian olives, with their fleshy pulp, perfect for this preparation. Putting black olives in salt and wine vinegar was one of the typical ways to preserve them and a recipe appreciated by the most refined palates.
Ortoledda Black Olives at the Table
Excellent eaten with a slice of toasted bread in good company, or added to other culinary preparations, such as a summer rice salad or a rustic pasta sauce, with cherry tomatoes, toasted almonds, breadcrumbs, and pieces of stringy provola cheese.
Ingredients
Black olives (55%) flavoured with vinegar (sulphites), sunflower seed oil, parsley, mint, oregano, garlic, salt, chilli pepper. Acidifying agent: E330.
